Case converter: UPPER, lower, Title, camelCase…
Convert text to UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case or CONSTANT_CASE, in your browser.
Runs on your deviceRuns entirely in your browser: nothing you type or upload leaves your device.
How to use it
- Type or paste your text. It is converted in your browser; nothing is sent.
- Click the style you want, for example Title Case or snake_case.
- Press Copy to grab the converted text.
Fixing text that arrived in the wrong case
Names exported from a system in capitals, a title someone typed with Caps Lock on, a list of products all in lowercase: retyping them by hand is slow and invites mistakes. Paste the text once and pick the style you need.
The code styles are for programmers and spreadsheets: camelCase and PascalCase for variables and classes, snake_case and CONSTANT_CASE for database columns and settings, kebab-case for file names and web addresses.
Example: English titles vs Spanish titles
Paste the lord of the rings. Title Case gives The Lord Of The Rings: every word starts with a capital. Style guides for English titles usually keep short words like "of" and "the" in lowercase, so you would fix it by hand to The Lord of the Rings.
Spanish works differently. The RAE, the institution that sets Spanish spelling rules, says a title only takes a capital on its first word and on proper names. For cien años de soledad, the right button is Sentence case, which gives Cien años de soledad. Title Case would give Cien Años De Soledad, an English habit that looks wrong in Spanish.
What it can't know
The tool doesn't know which words are names or acronyms. Sentence case turns ¿dónde queda la ONU? no sé. pregúntale a ana. into ¿Dónde queda la onu? No sé. Pregúntale a ana.: it starts each sentence correctly, even after ¿, but writes onu and ana in lowercase. Title Case writes Juan José De La Cruz, while the family name is usually de la Cruz. Read the result and fix those by hand.
Code styles keep accents and ñ, so Año nuevo 2026 becomes año-nuevo-2026 in kebab-case. That is fine for a file, but in a web address the ñ turns into %C3%B1, so replace accented letters yourself if you want a clean URL.
FAQ
Does it handle accents and ñ?
Yes. Letters like á, é, ñ and ü change case correctly and are never split from their words, because the tool works on Unicode letters, not only on A to Z.
How are code styles like camelCase built?
Each line is split into words at spaces, punctuation and existing capital letters, then joined in the chosen style. Apostrophes are dropped.
How do I change case in Excel or Google Sheets?
With formulas: `=UPPER(A2)`, `=LOWER(A2)` and `=PROPER(A2)`, which works like Title Case. In Excel or Sheets set to Spanish they are `=MAYUSC(A2)`, `=MINUSC(A2)` and `=NOMPROPIO(A2)`. There's no formula for Sentence case or snake_case: copy the column, paste it here (one value per line), convert, and paste the result back.
Should Spanish titles use Title Case?
No. Spanish capitalizes only the first word of a title and any proper names: "El amor en los tiempos del cólera", not "El Amor En Los Tiempos Del Cólera". Use Sentence case and then capitalize names by hand. Newspaper and brand names are an exception, since they are proper names.
Do capital letters keep their accents?
Yes, and they should. In Spanish, capital letters keep their written accents, so UPPERCASE turns `Bogotá` into `BOGOTÁ`, not `BOGOTA`. Dropping them in capitals is an old typewriter habit, not a rule.
