Split a PDF or extract pages, privately
Extract pages from a PDF, split it into one file per page, or remove the pages you don't need. Right in your browser: free, and nothing uploaded.
Runs on your deviceRuns entirely in your browser: nothing you type or upload leaves your device.
How to use it
- Drop a PDF, or click to choose it. You'll see a preview of every page.
- Choose what to do (extract pages, one PDF per page or remove pages) and type the pages, like 1-3, 5, 8-10.
- Click the button to download the new PDF, or each page on its own.
Send only the pages that matter
A form asks for "the first page of your contract and the signature page", but you have the whole 20-page scan. A landlord asks for proof of income, and your bank statement has six pages of movements you'd rather not show. A portal rejects your file because it has too many pages. In all these cases you need a smaller PDF made of only some pages.
This tool has three modes: extract some pages into one new PDF, save every page as its own PDF, or remove the pages you don't want and keep the rest.
Example: pages 1 to 3 and 20 of a contract
Drop contract.pdf. The line under the drop zone shows its name, 20 pages and its size, and a preview of each page appears below so you can find the one you need. Choose Extract pages into one PDF and type 1-3, 20.
Click Extract and download: you get contract-pages-1-3_20.pdf with 4 pages, and the status line confirms the page count and size. To do the opposite, choose Remove pages and type 4-19: the rest stays in its original order. In Extract, pages come out in the order you type them, so 20, 1-3 puts the signature page first and 5-1 gives pages 5 to 1 backwards.
What splitting doesn't hide
Removing a page removes the whole page, nothing else. If an account number or an address also appears on a page you keep, it is still there. Check every remaining page before sending it.
The pages are copied as they are, not converted to images, so text stays selectable and scans keep their quality. If the original carries a certificate-based digital signature, the extracted copy loses that validation; when someone needs to verify it, send the complete original. Password-protected PDFs can't be opened until you save a copy without the password.
FAQ
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The pages are copied by your browser, on your device. The file never leaves it.
How do I type the pages?
Separate pages and ranges with commas: 1-3, 5, 8-10. "8-" means from page 8 to the end. Pages come out in the order you type them, so 3, 1, 2 also reorders them.
Does it lower the quality?
No. Pages are copied as they are, not turned into images, so text stays sharp and selectable.
It says my PDF is password-protected. What can I do?
Open it with its password and save or print it as a new PDF without one, then use that copy. Remove PDF password can also do it, using our server.
Why is my one-page PDF almost as heavy as the whole file?
Pages share fonts and images inside a PDF, and a page takes along everything it uses. In some files, each page points to all the images of the document, so even a single page carries them. It depends on the program that created the PDF, not on this tool.
