Delete pages from a PDF, in your browser
Type the pages to delete, like 2, 4-6, and download a copy of the PDF without them, the rest in their original order. Runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.
Runs on your deviceRuns entirely in your browser: nothing you type or upload leaves your device.
How to use it
- Drop the PDF, or click to choose it. A numbered preview of each page appears, so you can find the ones to remove.
- Type the pages in Pages to remove, like `2, 4-6`, or `8-` for page 8 to the end.
- Click Remove pages and download. The copy keeps every other page, in order.
Blank backs, ad pages and pages you'd rather not send
Double-sided scanning leaves a blank back after every one-sided sheet. Bank statements and bills end with pages of terms and advertising. A contract you have to attach includes an annex the other party shouldn't see. Removing those pages is quicker than scanning again.
You type the pages to drop and get a new PDF with the rest, in their original order. The pages you keep are copied as they are: text stays selectable and scans keep their quality. It runs in your browser, so the PDF isn't uploaded.
Example: an 8-page statement down to 5
extracto.pdf has 8 pages: a summary on pages 1 and 2, the detailed transactions on page 3, more summary on pages 4 to 6, and ads and terms on 7 and 8. To send only the summary, type 3, 7-8 in Pages to remove and click Remove pages and download.
You get extracto-without-pages-3_7-8.pdf with 5 pages: the original 1, 2, 4, 5 and 6, in that order. The status line shows 5 pages and the new size. The order you type doesn't matter when removing: 8, 7, 3 leaves the same pages.
What stays in the file, and what doesn't
The text of a removed page doesn't go into the new file, and usually neither do its pictures. The exception is a PDF whose pages all share one set of images: then the pictures of removed pages travel along, unseen, and the copy stays almost as heavy as the original. Programs that list the images inside a PDF could still pull them out.
Bookmarks and document properties, like the title and author, aren't copied into the new file. You can't remove every page: a PDF needs at least one. A password-protected PDF can't be opened here: open it with its password and save or print a copy without one, or use Remove PDF password, which uses our server.
FAQ
How do I delete a blank page from a PDF?
Find its number in the previews and type it in Pages to remove. For a double-sided scan with a blank back after every sheet, type the even pages, like `2, 4, 6, 8`.
Can I remove pages that aren't next to each other?
Yes. Mix single pages and ranges, separated by commas or spaces: `1, 3-5, 12`.
Is my original PDF changed?
No. You download a new copy; the file you dropped stays as it was on your device.
Can I also change the order of the pages?
Not here: the pages you keep stay in their original order. To reorder them, use Split PDF, choose Extract pages into one PDF and type the pages in the order you want, like `3, 1, 2`.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes, in a current browser on Android or iPhone. Big files take longer on a phone, and over 100 MB the tool warns that the browser may run out of memory.
